August 31st 2015 – Bank Holiday

Hello everyone!

In keeping with tradition, Steel City Swing will still be open on Monday 31st August with a Bank Holiday special!

Doors open at 19:00 hrs for social dancing, followed by a class which is open to all levels. After the class we will keep the music going until 22:00 hrs and provide an assortment of snacks/nibbles to keep us all going.

Given it is a Bank Holiday, the class will not be super serious but jolly and accessible to all!

Timings:
19:00 – 19:25 hrs: Doors open, music playing for social dancing.

19:30 – 20:15 hrs: Class, open to all.

20:20 – 22:00 hrs: Social dancing!

Lindy Forward – announcement and first date 25th August 2015

Steel City Swing are please to announce a new class called Lindy Forward, which is a focus class aimed at dancers looking to fast forward their swing dancing. The workshop aims to consolidate and build upon moves and techniques taught in the previous 8 weeks of Technique Classes.
Lindy Forward classes are once every two months and are limited to 8 couples only, with the emphasis on feedback, improvement and reinforcement of your moves and technique.

Attendance to Lindy Forward is limited to experienced dancers and dancers who have attended a majority of the previous 8 weeks of technique classes. To register for a place, please contact Emma and Craig via email at “hello@steelcityswing.co.uk@ to confirm your place.

The first Lindy Forward date is Tuesday 25th August, 2015. Additional dates for your diaries:
  • Tuesday 20th October, 2015
  • Tuesday 15th December, 2015
Registrations will be taking after the 25th August for the October Lindy Forward, and after the 20th October for the December class.

Individual: £5
Couples: £8 total
